Posted: 15 Apr 2010 09:09 AM PDT A few weeks ago in one of our Daily Inspirations posts I saw these illustrations that immediately caught my attention and ever since then I've been obsessed with this artist. He's a Swedish artist named Kilian Eng. He illustrates, animates, and creates music. His style is very 80's, dark, neon, and scf-fi/fantasy inspired. It reminds me of a mix between the Another World video game, Tron, and 80's cartoons like Heavy Metal, Robotech, Silverhawks and Thundercats. There's something more to his illustrations that captivate me. They evoke some kind of emotion in me which I partly attribute to nostalgia, but they are also calming and seductive. He's definitely an inspiration to me.Kilian Eng's Blog: http://dwdesignsmusicdelivery.blogspot.com/ Here are some examples of his amazing animations and illustrations:

Posted: 15 Apr 2010 07:16 AM PDT A while ago - December/09 to be more precise - we featured an article showing Super Cool Pixel Art Posters by eBoy. Since I really like pixel art and those three guys, Kai Vermehr, Steffen Sauerteig and Svend Smital - Eboy's team, manage to create amazing stuff, I decided to do a new post about their work! This time around we will show you some of their animations, pixoramas, editorials, toys and other stuff. In my opinion, the word to explain pixel art is 'cheerful'. I mean, all artworks with this style are nice, colorful, happy... they have a cool atmosphere, a nice vibe. At least I think so. :) And these guys from eBoy have some really cool pixel art pieces to show. As here we will show only a couple of them, make sure to visit their website or their shop for further pieces. Hope you like it! Enjoy. =) AnimationsPixoramasEditorialsToysIn-The-Wild

Posted: 15 Apr 2010 06:18 AM PDT Thiago Falgetano, was born in 1983 in Sao Paulo, "Falge" is known by the abbreviation of his last name since he was in high school. The love for art comes from when he was just a child drawing all over the walls and the furniture on his house. At school he was a problem because all he wanted to do was draw on the desks, walls, and even on the bathrooms. This desire to draw all over the place was fulfilled in 1990 when Falge had his first contact with "pixacao" (tagging) and started to admire the work of other "pixadores" (taggers) and learn more about the culture. Along with that he made some friendships with older "pixadores" that had a huge influence on his works. In 1995 he bought his first can of spray paint and called some friends to go tag, after that day it became and addiction that he followed daily for a long period. But it got to a point where he wanted something more complex instead of just tagging his name on the walls. In 1997 one of his friends from school showed him a magazine specialized in graffiti. It was love at first sight, he was fascinated with the magazine he had on his hands because back then it wasn't a lot of graffitis on the city, and it was hard to find a book or a magazine about this theme. In that very moment he left the "pixacao" behind and started to study drawing until he was able to develop his first letters. On that same year he started doing his own graffitis and never stopped. It's been over 20 years spreading his art all over the cities he has been during this time. He participated in events, projects, exposition in galleries, even worked doing art for some famous brands, and until this day he keeps the real essence of graffiti by painting on the streets where everything started.
