Seagulls Fly is one of the most creative studios I know, I simply love those guys and everything they do. They are from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and are specialized in state-of-the-art manipulation, photo retouch, 2D and 3D illustration, animation, web design and post production. From bright, colorful pictures to that other side, darker and moody... photography passes by both extremes in a fraction of a second, and it's great how the same photographer gets to picture both ends just perfectly.<!--break--> I know this guy for some time now, and it came the time to tell the world about him. Gordon McBryde is an awesome photographer that takes some amazing pictures... he also makes some great manips from his images, that only turn his art into something even better. One thing that I've always thought about his work, is that it's just the thing people love to post on tumblr, and when you take a look at these, you're gonna probably relate to that. A few weeks ago in one of our Daily Inspirations posts I saw these illustrations that immediately caught my attention and ever since then I've been obsessed with this artist. He's a Swedish artist named Kilian Eng. He illustrates, animates, and creates music. His style is very 80's, dark, neon, and scf-fi/fantasy inspired. It reminds me of a mix between the Another World video game, Tron, and 80's cartoons like Heavy Metal, Robotech, Silverhawks and Thundercats. There's something more to his illustrations that captivate me. They evoke some kind of emotion in me which I partly attribute to nostalgia, but they are also calming and seductive. A while ago - December/09 to be more precise - we featured an article showing Super Cool Pixel Art Posters by eBoy. Since I really like pixel art and those three guys, Kai Vermehr, Steffen Sauerteig and Svend Smital - Eboy's team, manage to create amazing stuff, I decided to do a new post about their work! This time around we will show you some of their animations, pixoramas, editorials, toys and other stuff.In my opinion, the word to explain pixel art is 'cheerful'. I mean, all artworks with this style are nice, colorful, happy... they have a cool atmosphere, a nice vibe. At least I think so. :) And these guys from eBoy have some really cool pixel art pieces to show.
