Architect Day: Atelier du Pont Posted: 04 May 2010 04:52 AM PDT Atelier du Pont is one of the new and great architecture offices from France. With an incredible project, interesting volumes, forms and materials, the office is part of PLAN01, a junction of 4 french offices which counts with a really good project team.<!--break--> Anne-Cécile Comar, Philippe Croisier and Stéphane Pertusier work together since 1997, when they created the Atelier du Pont in Paris. They started with small re vitalization projects, but soon they left their mark in competitions, winning some important projects to their initial career. From that moment on they could show the quality from their work with big residential projects, perfectly inserted in the beautiful french landscapes.
In 2005, the Atelier du Pont moved to a storage with 600 m² and the moving was really beyond changing addresses. The PLAN01 was created with BP Architectures, Koz and Phileas and another offices, putting together 10 architects, a collective of high quality professionals working on big projects. Even with the partnership Atelier du Pont keep doing their separate works and they also have some nice stuff that are still on paper, giving us a look of the projects that are still to come. Disturbing Self-Portraits of Francesco Sambo Posted: 04 May 2010 03:37 AM PDT We often get to see those cheesy self-portraits... featuring people in cute costumes, underwater or whatever, but we don't get to see very often the work of people who prefer another approach for their portraits.<!--break--> These are the self-portraits of designer Francesco Sambo, who came up with some pretty disturbing images. For more of his self-portraits and work, you may check out his portfolio at Behance. I hope you all enjoy these. Cheers! ;)
